Sandra McCaw majored in illustration and photography at the Boston Museum School and The School of the Worcester Art Museum, graduating from WAM in 1978. She worked as an illustrator, graphic designer and photographer in the corporate world for several years. In 1994 Sandra began working with polymer clay as a creative medium. And, about one year later, she discovered a technique that bears her name, "The McCaw Cane" .
Sandra McCaw's award winning polymer clay jewelry has been exhibited internationally and highly published. She is a juried member and past juror of the prestigious League of New Hampshire Craftsmen, the oldest professional craft organization in the U.S.
Her work was selected as a Niche Awards finalist and won a "Best of Jewelry" award from the League of NH Craftsmen in 2009. Sandra's work is represented in the permanent collections of the Racine Art Museum and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
